6th Element Engineering Dyno Day in SoCal Interest Thread

In another thread a member asked about getting a dyno tune and I offered to come out to the area for a 5 car minimum.
This thread is to gather the interest. When I have 5 people ready to go, I'll make the arrangements.

My model is to have this happen over 2 days (5-6 cars). Depending on how long the shop is wanting to let us use the dyno, I'd rather not try to custom tune more than 4 cars in a single day.
I like to spend about 2 hours on a car with a baseline and some tweaks. Your price is $595 for the tune.

If someone wants a baseline and one flash of our "off the shelf" Stage tunes, that's $449. It only takes about 30-45min to complete that.

I'd like to know where everyone is coming from and how far they are willing to drive. Then I can try to find a good location that best meets everyone's needs.

    MrMattyV mentioned this place:

    MD Automotive
Mark Dibella - MD Automotive Westminster California
    (714) 891-1113
    7281 Westminster Blvd
    Westminster CA 92683

We can start there, and see who's interested.

If you guys have any questions, please post up or email me tech@sxthelement.com

I wish I could do this one... 20 hours is a bit much of a drive though. Heh.

I am still on the fence about offering it. It does more harm than good IMO.

Honestly, we could probably get that many people together here without much issue. Let me troll the local FB Veloster groups and see what kind of interest there might be.

You guys are doing partial throttle tuning, yeah? And do you have things like launch control? Is it still just kind of a Stage 0 or do you have a stage 1 as well? Ballpark figure on horsepower for your tune(s)? I just want to know what to tell them.

Launch control = RIP clutch. Tune is solid.

Look at our webiste, plus my section here.

25-30 hp/tq increase at a minimum. I don't quote people numbers because dynos are different everywhere. If I were to tell someone 240 whp just because the dyno I use did that to a similar car with similar mods, I'd set myself up to possibly disappoint someone.

I can guarantee the difference before/after. That's what matters.

If there is any interest that you an find, let me know I'd love to take care of you guys

You should update the first post with the names of those interested so that we can gauge how many more people to harass so that they sign up

OP is shipping me his ECU as of today, and I had one lurker email me saying he's in. No other emails or PM's so far.
