    Doubled my horse power

Traded in the VT for a 2005 Corvette.
It's a 6spd manual, and best of all has the Z51 package. Upgraded brakes, shocks, and oil coolers.

Now, I will still be reading these forums, it really has a good lot of great people here. I will also do my best to keep the mod guide updated but if there is someone that would like to help or take it over then please PM we and see what we can work out.

And one of these days I'm going to make it out to Willow Springs and see what kind of damage I can do.

What convinced you to make the jump from the VT to the Corvette?

Car has 108k on it. It is definitely a driver's car not a garage queen.
I have always wanted a Corvette but wanted to wait until I could afford a model I really wanted. I like C4's but they are old and creaky, I was also looking a C5 Z06's but the base C6 makes almost the same power and is just a little easier to live with day to day. I have been doing a lot of searching and holding out for a manual (not an easy task) with the Z51 option package. It needs some cosmetic clean-up in a few areas but overall it is a pretty nice example, especially at the mileage. I don't have much in the way of adding power, maybe an intake and a tune to see if I can't up the MPG's a tad, but the car has plenty and handles pretty fantastic as it sits. Save my extra cash for track time.

Transaxle was a C-5 generation change.

C-5 models began in 97 in coupe only then convertibles were added in 98.

I do love me a Corvette.

    How Dare YOU!!

Don't make me call the Corvette Social Services and have it removed from your driveway for mistreatment!! LOL

I long for the day I purchase my next car. I plan on a Corvette but I hope to go classic. 1963 Coupe, Silver with Red Int or a 1961, Black w/ Silver cove and Red Int with hardtop. I don't need #'s matching, something I can rebuild and DD, and it must be a manual.

I have dreams and the wife supports them. :-D
