    2016 headlights

Driving my new 2016 turbo is fun but I am not a fan of the stock halogens while driving at night.
I have read as much as I can on this topic and everything is definitely helpful.
I don't know if I should replace the low, high and fogs with whiter halogens or replace the high and fogs with whiter halogens and the low beams with HID.
It seems the H11B halogen is a bitch of a bulb to find aftermarket in anything useful so changing to H11 is an option but not without its issues installing.
I have read that changing the OEM low beam with a whiter halogen like PIAA etc doesn't even make much of a difference in the projectors. I know the range is the same or less with aftermarket halogens but the whiter light is far easier on the eyes while driving. If whiter aftermarket H11Bs are not worth it then I don't want to waste the money.
Replacing the halogens with other halogens is one route but HID's seem the best route.
This is where the info goes on and on with different brands and shading with the H11B bulbs and so on.
What are your thoughts on this subject? I would like to discuss this with someone who I can ask questions to if need be such as voiding my warranty, brand etc.
    Thanks

If you're going to be installing the HID's, be prepared to do quite a bit of work on them.

    such as:

    - taking off the bumper
    - dremeling holes into the headlight cap (that keep the dust out I suppose)

The results are very rewarding, but it's not a simple 10-15 min process like it was on my other cars.

I went with Morimoto's but had some issues with them so I would acutally just go for DiodeDynamics and also pick up a pair of the same temperature fog light LED's as well (which are simple plug & play) if you care about your lights all matching

I found that properly aiming the lights made a huge difference. The factory alignment of the beams is pretty bad. Also if you search about you can find some people who did a H9 bulb conversion if you want to stay with the Halogens.

HID don't seem to show distance, I've had nothing but flickering with relays and all.

You also want the H11's. not the 11b's. The 11b's will put the ground post in the beam and cast a shadow.

However, if you have the right Phillips head, you can unscrew the metal socket inside the back of the housing and flip it over. That would fix the problem so you could use H11b's.

Diode Dynamics and others won't tell you this when you order them by your car model. I had to get the bulbs exchanged but then you have to crack open the connector on the H11's so you can pull the cable with pins out and insert them in the factory connector.

    Nice, thanks guys.
I heard about the mods to make different things fit and will have to consider all that. I recall the H9 conversion somewhere. Maybe I will look at that again.
    Happy travels.

Also if you look it up the retro fit source has a video explaining the shadow issue with hid's.. They say for most Hyundai's to switch to h11a and it will eliminate the shadow ...the bulb will work and fit like a h11b....

The Advance Auto Parts near me just made a bunch of shelf space for aftermarket H11b bulbs. Guy behind the counter said they should be coming in soon.

What does "aftermarket H11b" mean. You can buy those now, anywhere.
