    So even after adding in a vacuum reservoir, the valve threw P2261 codes. I emailed Turbosmart and found out that their tech support sucks and was of no help.

    The spring the plum back came with (green) felt very stiff, so being as it wasn’t working anyways, I experimented with cutting off about 1.5 coils. This actually worked and got rid of the CEL/MIL but would still surge periodically under soft to moderate acceleration.


    So as a last ditch effort, I ended up getting their soft spring (blue). This one has fixed all the issues and in my opinion should’ve been the one it came with from the factory. The valve is now very reactive/sensitive like the stock one and opens up nice and loud. Very happy with it finally.

    was it easy to change the spring out?

    Yes. You disconnect the vacuum hose and the top simply unscrews. That gives you access to the spring & piston.
