    How much power would you be going to? I think Tork said 400 ft lbs is what the tranny in manual is rated to but will depend on the half shafts.

    22.5" vs 21.75" is negligible vs dealing with the height and width issues of a DOHC engine. Also dealing with the intake gasket issues inherent to a dohc chevy design is not something I'd desire.

    I wouldn't move a stronger engine into a car unless the platform was desirable. This platform is the weak point of the car IMO.

    It's easier to complain about it and then get a chuckle out of all the dudes sitting at the gas sation for another expensive refill than it is to become that dude wishing your awesome platform was practical, affordable or well equipt.

    Just to be clear, I do tend to agree with him though about not wanting to spend the time, money or effort to swap a another motor into this platform. I think the existing power train packs plenty of punch for the car.
