Preventative maintenance such as catch cans and swapping out to full synthetic oil.

There are plenty of vendors that support the forum and platform I'm not sure if I'll get in trouble for mentioning them, but check out Tork Motorsports, SoCal Garage Works, and 6th Element Engineering.

Pierce Motorsports Rear torsion bar and 3.5" intake are popular. A lot of people vote "tires" but the stock ones get me to work and home for now.

Performance Parts suppliers often chosen are: Peirce Motorsports, 845 Motorsports, Xenon Element, Turbosocks, SoCal Garageworks, Sixth Element Engineering, and Tork Motorsports . Check the forum sponsors section for the full list and for things like lighting and exterior items.

Just got mine too a couple months ago... First two things I did was hook up an oil catch can to the primary PCV system and switched to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum (from the research, always use a Hyundai factory OEM oil filter). I change my oil every 3k even though it says I can go longer. Small price to pay in my opinion. I will likely be putting in the second Oil Catch Can on the secondary PCV recirc very shortly.

Those are mostly a cheap thing to do and are largely a preventative to help your car run more efficiently and enjoy a longer life. The next extremely easy thing to do is disconnect the "blow off valve" record line and cap the open hole on the intake. Again, you will not see gains but it makes sense to not have hot engine air blowing into your intake.

If you have plans to replace the intake than do so, otherwise just go grab a K&N drop in filter.

That list right there amounts to $100 or $150 and well worth it. None of which will really give you any gains (maybe that K&N filter) but you are not treating your motor better than you once were.

There are all the standard vendors selling all the standard stuff (K&N, AEM, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Borla, Injen, etc. etc.) and then there are some vendors and tuners who have taken the time to make some very specific parts for our cars. Tork, 845, SXTH Element Engineering, Xenon Element, Turbo Socks to name a few (or most that I can think of actually). Pierce Motorsports is a great place to go for suspension mods and I would recommend them as the Veloster suspension is mushy and needs a lot of help (I am actually saving my pennies to pickup a set of adjustable coilovers) Lastly... here are another couple of vendors with neat stuff - So Cal Garage Works, Diode Dynamics, exLED shop,

There is a ton of info floating around here and even more opinions to go along with it so I would suggest reading a lot, asking some questions and considering how all of it fits your needs and lifestyle.

I use it to get to work and back, leisure and travelling. I certainly do not want to turn this thing into a race car, stock height is low enough being that i drive in the winter.
My budget is me saying do i really need this for what i use it for? I want to add lighting and perhaps do a little engine mods. I want to run this car to the ground.

Why do you say switch to full synthetic? My dealer already puts in full synthetic oil. When i bought the car they gave me 5 years of free oil changes, i would hope they would put in F.S. oil. :/

    This will help thanks!

I see a great deal of variation on the sway bars...

Why would the R-Spec have a smaller swat bar than the Turbo? I thought the R spec was the cat's ass?

Also you would think a solid sway would be better?

Yeah the dealership definitely doesn't put full synthetic in your car. Maybe a blend, maybe.

The biggest thing I can recommend is after reviewing the mod thread, before you start a project ask about it here. Yes you'll get people who start chanting "use the search feature...blah blah blah" but most of use will try to offer advice. There are many things that sound like they should work on this car but won't so best to tap into experience.

There hasn't been a lot of new development on modding this car over the last year or so if all we did was search for answers there would be no traffic on this forum and most if not all vendors would vacate.

Lastly, please please pleeeeaaase create a signature that includes your cars info and then add mods as you do them. It makes us so much easier to assist when everyone can see what you're working with.
