No need to be a Debbie downer. Let them get some time on it.

For people at full bolt ons and tune this will definitely be a solid upgrade. Even if it barely flows better it is worth 75-100$. The other side is you can probably send it out for a port and polish and see additional positive results.

If every time someone tries something new and they receive a negative response they will just stop sharing.

In the FB post I was talking about half shafting the TB and porting it. These extra 3mm in the long run is great. 57MM TB i can port to about 61MM a 60mm to 64mm. Now you can see the big difference. That is then 7mm over stock. Half shaft and will improve flow and then machine a butterfly. More air= more fuel that can be burned. Obviously a tune will make it much better. Upgrading TB is very common for increased performance. I would be surprised if you didn't feel instant throttle response. Nice find on the Soul TB works too.

Btw it looks as though johns suggestion of the evox tb should be viable just off of appearance, waiting on a coworker to show up to see if he's willing to let me throw it on for a test. Iirc the evox is like 64mm and from the forums looks like it could be pnp to ~68-68mm. If they do in fact fit, and one can be acquired cheap enough it should be a good gain of ~ 10mm over stock. Then all we would need is an intake Manifold able to flow it better than the stock 60mm

I wouldn't do the Evo X TB upgrade until an IM with a flow-matched inlet becomes available.
How wide is the IM opening?

Well then no need to go any larger until there is a better IM.

Guess I will order one up here soon and do a nice polish.

If you want a pro to do it that's not too expensive here The butterfly I can get machined for $20. Max bore does amazing things I see all the SR20 guys around my area rave about them.
