    Matte Grey w/Clear Bra?

    hey guys,

i'm definitely set on purchasing the matte grey finish, however owning a black car for the past 7 years has been tough on keeping the car protected - especially on the front end.

are there any matte grey owners who installed a clear bra on their car? how does it look? does the bra stand out?

Clear bra won't work, it will look glossy.

See here: Clear Bra on Matte Cars

You will have to get the stealth film from XPEL, which is a matte appearance clear bra. They don't have a template for the Veloster Turbo as of yet unfortunately.

Have you read the care instructions for the matte paint finish? After I did I decided against that option!!

What? You mean the fact that the matte finish is actually easier to care for than a glossy finish?

It really depends on who you ask GDI, its easier to clean for someone who hand washes their car a must. However, those for what ever reason bring their car to a car wash machine... they'll see it differently and a pain if they can't do that. Hand washing is the best way to go though.

He has a black car, auto washes would be really dangerous for it! I wouldn't go into a wash that has a track either with the low pro tires, big risk for curb rash!

I have not washed the matte since Friday. Here's after bird droppings, bug splats, city and interstate driving through TS Isaac rain with splashing all over. Holding up well!

I only wand wash or hand wash mine. The fact that a regular wand wash will ruin the matte finish was too much for me. It also said that regular windshield washer fluid could cause problems. I do however really like the look.

I've got a couple of guys who own window tint shops and they do the clear bras, not one would put a clear bra on any of their vehicles, don't mind putting it on yours, but never theirs. That stuff is bad news.
