I've actually considered getting a dash cam, just haven't really looked into any models & done any research on which one to get. Do any of you have one & if so which model?

Reddit has a forum for dash cams with lots of information. I don't have any of that info here at work though.

i have one, they're relatively cheap nowadays, between $50-80 for a decent one (excluding memory card). Insurance for your insurance, and it's a one time payment. "prove that this accident wasn't your fault." I have video proof right here.

I have the black box G1WC. I stuck it just to the right of my rear view mirror so it sits behind it, not obstructing much more view. the wire was easily tucked into the roof liner and down the pillar. search around for reviews on amazon, it usually ends up being the size of the camera and the look that is the deciding factor. a lot of them have great wide view angle and adjustability, its down to personal preference. Just make sure it has a looping feature that auto-deletes old footage so you don't have to manually do it.
