Lose of bass in cold weather

So, it's not the first time this happened but I've noticed when the car has been sitting outside in the cold in -10 degree temperatures, the speakers lose their bass.

Anyone else experience this problem? They eventually come back on after some driving by turning the car off and on again or once I get into a warmer area for example a garage.

It sucks because when ever I get off work, and get into my car, I can listen to my music but it sounds terrible.

The spiders in the speakers stiffen up when cold. It takes a minute of playing music to loosen/warm them up. All speakers will do this especially when its that cold.

I thought the amplifier had a built-in protection until the interior temperature has warmed up enough.

Well, as long as it's not something I should be worried about like something blown then I'm a happy camper. Thanks Veloturbo

Having this same issue actually! Wow I thought I was the only one.

Evening here in Toronto have been in the -10 to -15C range lately and my speakers have been cutting out randomly.
