Trouble starting - crank crank crank

Hello everyone. Need a little help ..

I've brought my VT into the dealership three times for an issue where the car has a hard time starting. Please note it is not every time, 1 in 5 times aprox. the vehicle will "crank crank crank crank crank crank crank - then fire up". They've replaced the starter & that did not fix the issue. I brought it back to the dealer and they say "we checked it with a code scanner and received no thrown codes" ..

... Well duh, there's not CEL in the dash ...

In any event, has anyone on here had the same issue or know of this issue. Could it be fuel lines, injectors, pump, clutch etc related?

Any help & all help is greatly appreciated so I can have this issue fixed!

    Thanks,
    Dan

well to be honest its most likely a fuel issue, perhaps the low pressure fuel pump check valve has failed and causing the fuel to not stay in the lines for next start up? keep pesturing them they will find it

    Thanks guys.

Anyone else have some input on this topic? I would like to go to the dealer with some solid information. Any TSB's, history on this forum? I was not able to search anything.

The only info you need is that it doesn't start 1 time out of 5. Take it in and sit there and keep starting it, time after time until it fails .. then tell them to fix it.
It's not your place to tell them what's wrong .. just to show them that there's something wrong and they need to put it right.
