2017 VELOSTER CHALLENGE Schedule!

Hello racers! We've been waiting on organizers to release schedules to try an have the least amount of conflict for competitors wanting to compete in multiple series. The following schedule is now ready---6 different tracks in 6 events!!!! They're all on Saturday's with the SpeedVenture's Group which hosts some of the best run events on the west coast!

Veloster Challenge Schedule for 2017

February 18TH-------------Autoclub Speedway

*April 1ST---------------------Willow Springs BIG Track

May 13TH------------------Streets of Willow Springs

*June 24TH-----------------Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway

*October 14TH--------------Buttonwillow Raceway

*November 18TH------------Chuckwalla Valley Raceway

The ruleset for the Veloster Challenge series is developing and will be very similar to the Time Attack Model encouraging folks to crossover without having to change a bunch of modifications to their cars. Here's the basic rules for 2017---check the Veloster Challenge site for a more detailed ruleset.

RULES

Street Class--200 treadwear tire, no removing interior/lexan windows/carbon roofs. Limited suspension and Aero mods--engine bolton's allowed with tunes up to a 13:1 Power-to-weight ratio (competition weight with driver), must be registered and insured.

Unlimited Class---Any DOT Race tire-unlimited engine/suspension/Aero mods---body work must resemble original car---drivetrain configuration must remain same as OEM car.

Exhibition Class---Anything goes---older cars, non Hyundai/Kia vehicles,coupes, tube chassis cars etc...

Additionally Veloster Challenge will be hosting the new *Pacific Hot Hatch Series at selected events marked (*) above. Hatchback's from all manufacturer's are welcome to compete and come run with us!

Well.. Its your lucky year... There is alot of talk lately about Laguna as they may pull current management.. So alot of trackday guys are getting worried that the future of trackdays at Laguna will come to an end if placed under new management... Infact alot of guys that have never driven Laguna are scrambling to get out there this year as next year it could be gone for the average JOE...

This is just the word among groups.. Im not sure how accurate this all is.

Point being Get your asses out there!!! LOL
