you can do the belt on your own, it goes alot quicker with a second set of hands to hold the belt around a pulley or two. not sure on the tstat.

It’s behind the alternator so you’d have to take it out entirely.

Need to be done anytime. Can be done easily on your own. Use OEM belt. The alternator will need to be removed for easy access to the thermostat or more time and patience with the right tools will be needed for the thermostat. I've done both many times.

That belt still looks good to me. My wife's 2011 Sonata has 130k miles and the belt has never been replaced. Looks just like the one in the picture.

This. Just give it a visual inspection for obvious cracks and re-tension if necessary.

Yeah well whatever you like. The service manual states specifics for a reason. Up to you to follow them or not. Would you trust your timing belt over 60k if the car had one?

I wouldn’t take the chance of being stranded or potentially ruining an accessory, a/c pipe or wiring.

One of the cheapest parts on the car. Fairly easy to replace.
I'm not going to say it's worth getting worked up over, but it's also a dumb thing to leave until you see it coming apart.
Put it on your "to do" list.
