Any of the 3.5" intakes from the known VT retailers(SXTH, 845, Tork, Turbosocks) would be good. Stay away from the K&N. I personally like the look and finish of the SXTH intake the best and I think Tork is the least expensive.

I have a Turbosocks Beast Mode 3.5 SRI and love it. And you can get a bunch of different colors as well. Love the sound I get and the overall look.

The name braand (K&N/Injen) intakes are 3" instead of 3.5" like the other brands mentioned. That half inch has been proven to flow better and gain a couple more hp. Also, the name brand ones are over priced. Most of the KDM specific retailers sell their SRI for around $200 vs $280+ for the K&N and Injen.

I have SXTH Element Engineering Cold Air Intake which is a 3.5in intake. So in the summer I can use it as CAI but in the winter months I convert it to SRI.

I recently clipped a small pole while backing out which pulled off my front bumper and did a little damage to the box thats right in front of the drivers side front wheel that houses the air intake system hoses coming from the grill up to the air box. I put it back together with zip ties and duct tape but how important are those hoses/the box housing them? Wouldn't an Injen or K and N intake essentially bypass that anyway?

not super important. the airbox in the engine bay / in front of the battery is much more important - it has the filter and stuff.
