Not sure what you mean by dry and wet. Just do it after the car has idle for a min or two and that will be sufficient.
dry is when you do it right after you take all the plugs out, wet is when you put a little bit of oil in the plug hole to cover the top of the piston, but alright ill just do it after idle ill be back soon with the results on the plugs

well the thing is i dont think its a blown engine, i wouldnt have been able to turn it off and on and drive to work if it was, also wouldnt there be alot more signs that it was, such as a check engine light or overheating or even a louder knocking sound?

Okay, so I got the car looked at by the best local mechanic, the sound is NOT coming from the top of the block, it’s coming from the bottom, from where the sound is coming from they think it’s a connecting rod attached to piston #1 and it’s bumping against the block causing the Tick/knock you hear in the videos, the repair if the dealership won’t help is gonna run me around 2.5k USD maybe more if the issue is worse than what is though

If truly the case I'd replace with a lower mileage 15-17 VT engine and stud it before you install it.

    Engine knock/tick, Opinions?

    So, “black rain”:

    Original owner?
    What modifications were done?
Oil used? Brand, name and grade? How often changed?
    Fuel used and octane number?

sorry for the delayed reply, car was under warranty got a brand new engine placed into it by Hyundai, was a thrown rod, im guessing the last owners where super hard on my baby, at the time no mods where done, i cant remember the oil name that was used but it was $100 and a full synthetic got done at Jiffy Lube, and 93 Octane is what i use all the time, but now im having another issue with the car, heres a link to that post! https://www.velosterturbo.org/forum/...overboost.html
