If you have been keeping good records of your fuel consumption, you would be able to tell right away if there is real problem:

Because you miles per gallon will be the figure that will suffer.

If you have not lost any miles per gallon, there is basically no change to the engine performance.

If the above is true for your car - you will then know it's the reader and readout that's faulty.

I don't believe the stock wheels and tires weigh 49 pounds each.

I just rotated the tires and wish I had weighed them.

I know they didn't weigh that much however.

Maybe you should go weigh them before calling someone out.

I have weighed them and they were right 48-49 pounds each.

Wheels are right at 27 and tires fluctuated 21-22.
A closer reading would reveal that I didn't "call anyone out", and true to form

your reply to my post stays true to form.
