First time to the track with the veloster and had a blast! Did 3 passes 15.8 then 15.3 then my 14.9! Was excited to get below 15

Heat "soak" refers to the charge air heating up the intercooler system faster than it can effectively cool the charge air. This causes a rise in intake air temps and a potentially significant loss in power.
FMIC, Water/meth injection, intercooler sprayer, throttle body coolant bypass... are some of the methods people use that can help stave off heat soak. Heat soak is an inherent problem for forced induction vehicles.
