Yes tune and bolt ons but now the bar is at 13.975 View attachment 9323 same setup as the other day just better driving and lower tire pressure
Very sad about this being the new fastest time lmao. ill be hard pressed to get my 14.799 down to that. I got my retuned ecu back from SFR and will be hitting track up this Friday hopefully. since I don't have full bolt ons and it being a canned tune I don't think I will get anywhere near that for now. Ordering FMIC Friday I hope and ive decided to wait for 845's full downpipe and go with that then MAYBE I will have a shot at your new time. im at sealevel down here in Houston

Okay i found the slip it was actually slightly faster then i had said View attachment 9423 now i dont have youtube how can i upload the vid from my phone so that way i have even more proof if someone can tell me how to ill post the vid up? or i can email it to someone and they can post it, i actually kicked his awd sho's ass off the line then he butt raped me instantly lol i did a small burnout then launched the vt off the foot brake at 2500rpm roughly shifted at 5200rpm each gear in sport mode with paddles its a fun car and a great daily and auto cross car but it is by no means fast or a drag car (actually minus the civic si it was the slowest 1/4 mile time the whole day)nor would i want it to be cause i like it for what it is i have my other toys for straigh up power.Car was stock at the time with only mods being royal purple synthetic oil,k&n air filter with air box resonator removal and a half tank of 93 octane Bp fuel.

The 15 is GT800 stock off of another thread and the 14.799 is me. I have been trying to get that time lower but have had no luck lol. If that is legit then the is awesome that you got it down that much!

So a used paper filter that collapses and thus is allowing unrestricted air flow still classifies? Or do we have to run stock oil? Wonder if dealer knows where they filled car up. Need to use stock gas. Hey if i wax the car or change the floormats to lightweight ones im no good? What if i go on a diet and lose a few more lbs? I live low elevation, stock gets discouted? Hope my plugs dont go bad. Damn my hitch will give me more rear bite on a front drive car. I got it ill roast my kumhos down to slicks and drag the brakes. Then ill be lighter. Point is, like any real or rc stock class... Its anythin but. R

Well that's what it ran and I have the video to back it up also these cars are simple to launch had no wheel spin tires were basically brand new and I have noticed if u try and take it to the redline the car actually slows down almost as if it is retarded the boost and or timing a bit the only gear you can do that in is 4th on up.Ihave been racing for a very long time and I'm use to way more powerful cars. The vt if you have good rubber is probably the easiest fwd car to launch it had little to no wheel spin unlike srt4s and mazdaspeeds plus I have driven both I can tell u the auto is easier to launch it will trap faster then the manuals and that was the best launch I had all day I can tell u there's no way it could have gotten into 13s they just don't stock have the top end in them after 2nd gear they start to fall off. hence why I said it would take thousands of dollars to get into the 11s and 12s.As I said before its stock with a k&n filter in it no air box resonator,royal purple oil,93 octane,newer tires, I did Ice it down in between runs and it was as perfect a run coul be the other runs were all slower
Yea no man your 60' is not very good and every .1 you take off your 60' is approximately .2 off your et ( look at my passes I went from a 14.5 with a 2.395 60' then same exact setup with a 2.1 60' ran 14.130 and I'm on an auto. You can say your stock but the numbers don't add up. They sound like nitrous or tuned numbers. My buddy had the previous fastest auto stock with a 15.0. An his 60' was better so how did you cut .5 seconds off. Not to mention that's spot on to stock focus st times and they have a lower lb/hp from the factory and that's giving the vt high dyno numbers. Like I said if you gutted the car I could see that. Not to mention k&n cone filter and no air box or silencer is basically a Sri. I haven't watched the video yet so I got nothing on that. I'll be ecstatic if somehow I'm wrong but a ~170whp car will not be able to run a mid 14 with a 2.3 60'

so i was bored today, decided to go to island for street legal friday after work. track quality is eh, but not limited to just 3 runs, did probably one (or 18) of the worst things i could do to my DD

current set up
MT, 845 FMIC, CAI, stock exhaust, stock wheels/tires with normal street driving pressures, KSPORT coils, stock plugs, SFR custom tuned at 227whp/242wtq
temp was 54 degrees, no burnout

PB is now 14.400 with 60' at 2.279 and trap of 98.26

within 2 hours, did 18 runs
during the last 47mins, i did 11 runs with most of them 14.5-14.6. a 14.7 was from a little extra wheel hop. the last 15 was from missing 3rd 4 times -_-
This should show just how efficient the 845 FMIC is. No heatsoak at all. Cold side pipe was slightly warmer than body temp
Custom tune felt good too. no problems at all with knock/pinging etc
should probably check plugs now and maybe switch to colder plugs =\

car is beat now, time for a new car lol.
no more track until full bolt ons, wheels/tires, and upgraded turbo

hey guys whats up, I'm new to cars and i sseee everyone saying they are running stock and 15 and below, mind this is my first car and its completely stock lol, I've never raced on a strip till the other day and never raced a m/t. My time was 15.9 can any of you recommend where to read or look up on how to get better??? Could it just be texas? haha i just moved here as well also the track lights were kindA MESSSED up lol it went from one yellow to green instantly nobody was getting great reaction times but still want to leaner and read! :) Like i said I'm new so i know I'm not great but the strip is close to where i live in san antonio and for ten bucks i don't mind having fun!! :) it was a little while ago so i don't remember what i was launching at i was just having fun but do want to get better!!!

Some Mustang I can't really remember any details though, i think he had some mods though it was pretty loud, maybe late 90's early 2000's body style I'm not very familiar with their body styles not into mustangs but it was a slimmer style might have been an 2001
