Not a good idea unless prepared to spend a lot to fix the car to be reliable which would be way more than the car at that cost.

I am actually looking to get a 2013 Veloster, 200,000 mileage, the condition is good with new tires and batteries but the owner says it needs turbo btw price of the car is 2500 USD
She described it as RUNS BUT SMOKES
PLEASE HELP
That car had better be free then. New engine is on the horizon

My 2013 Turbo is just outstanding. Just have to do the maintenance. I just finished putting in new KYB struts/shocks, tie rods, rotors and pads, drop links to the stabilizer bar and ball joints. It drives like a brand new car at 123,000 miles.

You can't take back the lack of maintenance or wear on a used car and to fix them can be quite expensive.
