Well, we have already made 251 WHP and it was easy.Aside from intake and exhaust, what else can I do to gain 50HP? I don't want to blow the bank....New turbo? How much will that run?
How much time will having extra 50HP shave off of the 0-60 time?
Z.
It will be good to see what your results are so we can have comparisons of our parts.I assume that you are looking for 250hp at the flywheel since you mentioned only adding 50hp. I will know soon what an intake, dp, exhaust and fmic will net you. I'm guessing 30-40hp at the wheel. It appears that a tune will get you close to that 50hp mark as well.
Don't underestimate the value of shaving weight when it comes to ETs.
You should be ok to release results, would be like any other guy adding parts to his car and showing the dyno sheet...that's not selling anything. It will be good to see what your results are so we can have comparisons of our parts.
30 to 40 WHP at the wheel is correct... I sure hope we can get the vendor status started so we can release these results.
But how would I go about telling people "who's" parts made all that power? You should be ok to release results, would be like any other guy adding parts to his car and showing the dyno sheet...that's not selling anything.
The current results of the one tune that has been release looked a little off. The AFR's for one were to high for a stock VT, the HP for a stock VT was also a little high (186 WHP for a stock VT?). Can you make 240 WHP on a VT totally stock car, I am going to say yes, but only time will tell. I also understand that some dyno's read different than others and there are "conditions" that play a part in the actual numbers posted.full bolt ons + tune will put you in the 300+whp and 300+ft.lbs range.
I am guessing if they are ~240whp/275ft.lbs tuned on totally stock car that full bolt ons + tune will be able to crack the 300 mark on torque easily and probably just crack it in hp.
Believable, yes. I would like to see the correction factor on the dyno results. We flogged the tar out of the shop car and the best we could make is 177 WHP stock, this was a cold start with a PCM reset and blowing ice cold water over the intercooler the entire run on the dyno. Correction factors make all the difference!186whp stock is believable for a stock MT
Well then... I will get those results posted. Its going to be a lot of pictures and a lot to take in, but we will get those results posted.the admins on here aren't going to care if you slang your parts while you are waiting on a response.. plenty of others have done it before being approved and they don't mind.
My baseline dyno was 185hp & 210trq, no mods. The current results of the one tune that has been release looked a little off. I was going to ask the same thing! anyone have any ideas? When we get to 250-300hp, what's going to be the solution for no limited slip?
