That is without the resonator. I figured I would go louder initially and tone it down if need be, but I think I will be leaving it as is.

Yeah I too was trying to decide if I wanted the resonator off. This sounds incredibly wicked. The resonator just quiets it a bit, and removes the popping etc. Makes the car sound a bit more..."tuned" is what my buddy and I describe it as.

First without. The wife complained about it being loud, but she's sensitive lol. All the guys say its sounds good.

The resonator went on afterward and it's wife approved. So it's currently with the resonator on.

I was thinking resonator on for the winter and resonator off for the summer lol.

jeremy, you said it took only 30-40 minutes for the install. did you have a lift and air tools? that's quick!
Not sure about him, but I just had a floor jack, jack stands and hand tools. I'd say 40 mins to an hour was about right. I needed a breaker bar for the nuts on the downpipe flange however. Brought the ass up on two jack stands, and went to town with a buddy.

I installed my Solo exhaust with the resonator at first, but now I am planning to slap on the straight pipe to see the difference in sound. I love how the Solo sounds, but sometimes I still wish it were louder. Enter straight pipe :D

I did have an impact gun, which made the removal VERY easy/quick.....other than that, just hydraulic jack, stands, and I did use a ratchet too.......I was moving quick as it was less than 30* outside :)

That's pretty impressive. I had a buddy help me install mine and it took us a long time to get the 2 bolts off that connect the Flex pipe to the Cat.. Those things were insanely tight, I was hella surprised considering my car is only 6 months old with 7k miles.

All in all I think it took us about 2 hours from start to finish, but we were taking our time and weren't in a rush. We were also in a not too cold garage so that probably was a factor :)

Those bolts would have definitely been a bitch with only hand tools....it took a quick minute for the impact to break them loose.

Well shit mwil028...you were supposed to say, it sounds much better with the resonator ON. You're gonna make me take it off, aren't you? LOL
Lol nah. U can do what ever you want. I think its great that solo gives us the option. It sounds good either way.
