I stopped by Solo Performance to get a new band clamp. I got to talking with the guys at the shop and they convinced me to install some tips. The wife is not impressed. Lol

It's 2, 4.5" beveled tips. Dual wall. It fills the holes in the bumper better then the magnaflow tips.

It was cold this morning and I noticed that the smoke wasn't blowing back up onto the back window. It will take some time before I can comment on the soot problem.

Looks Good, I put a different style tip on mine, but no fogging on the back. The soot may still be a problem. I will know for sure tomorrow when I clean.

That looks really good man. The 4.5in fills up the void nicely. I have a set that are 4in on order....your making me wish I would of went with 4.5.

I went in to pick up some band clamps cuz I was thinking of removing the resonator for the summer.

We got to talking and one of the guys said he could put tips on it so we spent a few hours messing around, experimenting. I wanted something to fill the holes as much as possible and for it to look different.

This is completely separate from the kit. Solo sells a ton of tip options and it was never their intention to change tips.
The tips pretty much just slid on to the tail pipes and with a little bit of adjusting they lined up. It wouldn't be a DIY install cuz they were welded on.

One question is there any nocking against the.bumper when you go over bumps. Do they hit the bar at all

Iv only driven it from the shop to my house today. There was no knocking while turning, or idling. I want to drive it more before I say it's all good.

Good question about the dimensions. Let me go and measure. As for the price tips cost 85 each.

ok so heres the link for the tip Short Exhaust Tips - 4" to 7" | Performance Exhaust
the site says they are 4" but the outside diameter is 4.5" and 7" long. They cost $85 each not sure if that includes shipping.
I dont know about magnaflow tips.
