Nearing the end of life of my stock exhaust, I did notice it was getting a little bit louder, and slightly grumbly...but it still sounded meek.
The moment I started up the Magnaflow Cat back, was like "whoa..." I didn't anticipate THAT much difference.
It's a lot louder, but not intrusively so. Eventually it becomes second nature to you. The difference in daily driving, is that you can now hear it, and you feel a little more connected to your vehicle. Plus, when you decide to push it a little, it gets much louder and agressive sounding.
As for intake, I love it. But I will say, it's not for everyone.
It is significantly louder. The sucking noise sounds like a vacuum cleaner at first, until you get into the higher RPM's. But you get a turbo whistle in there, and it sounds like a jet engine when you get to higher revs.
Pretty sweet, but not everyone will want a loud car. I believe some members have even taken it off because they couldn't stand it.
Not sure if it's just me or not, but I think with the FMIC, it's made the intake sound a bit more tame (in a good way). But That might just be in contrast to the loud Type S BOV lol
I've got a handful of mods, and I'm very very much NOT a mechanic, or gearhead, nor do I know a lot of the proper terms... so if you're looking for a "joe blow" opinion on things, I'm your man
