So I have recently removed my Air Conditioning from my 2015 hyundai veloster turbo and I wanted to show you guys how I did it for anyone out there that also wants to do this delete.

I felt an immediate increase of power, rev speed, and weight reduction (the power gain to money spent is in my opinion very worth it)
My Check Engine Light has not came on and for 7 to 10 horsepower you can't beat this delete.

First I unplugged the one wire that is connected to the compressor and i zip tied it.

Then I removed the two lines that are connected to the compressor.

The longer line that runs to the firewall has one wire connected to it I simply unplugged it and zip tied it like so.

After the lines were out all you have to do is unscrew 4 long bolts holding the compressor onto the engine and then you can pull the compressor out.

The only way you can make this delete work is if you buy the new belt that you can find on KDM Tuners and Pierce Motorsports website.

Make sure you run the new belt in the exact order the stock belt ran but without the AC compressor being there.

This is easily a one person job but you will have to approach some bolts from underneath the car.

If you have any questions feel free to ask I would love to help you.

You could have unplugged the wires and ram the delete it would have been a lot easier lol

but now when your oil cooler gasket inevitably fails you will have tons of room to change it.

ComPLETEly unrelated, but watch out for this bad boy, I can see the cracks in the rubber around the check valve molded into the hose from here 😬 I know, I had the same thing developing in mine a while back, pretty common thing. Easy replacement, PN 29021-2B060

How much horsepower do you have with the stock intercooler? If you don't mind me asking.

I've had VT1's in the 280-290+ whp area on the oem intercooler.
