ok, I understand. I will have to try it and see if I have the same issue. I will post some thing tonight after I try it on my commute home. One question, though. Do you have a bluetooth headset connected to your phone also?

The turn by turn instructions from google maps on your phone, via blutooth.

I understand it isn't going to show the google maps on the HU screen, but the audio should go through the speakers.
You might check the volume levels on your phone for play back. I had the same problem, but on my navigation via bluetooth the phones vmedia volume was turned down.

It sounds like a function of the phone. I have found that the galaxy s3 my daughter has and the galaxy note 2 my wife has far surpass the iphones i have had in terms of useability and function.
I do not use a bluetooth headset, and I too have the S3. I've tried plugged into car charger, and without. I haven't tried plugging in my phone via usb, as I have a thumb drive in there with all my tunes.

Actually I've been using Google NAV via Bluetooth recently and it works OK.

My problem was that after I let my BlueLink expire the VT NAV started showing that audio was disabled and I couldn't get the Hyundai NAV lady to work anymore. So the handful of times that I needed turn by turn directions I set the VT NAV and Google NAV to the same destination and selected the phone's audio in the VT NAV's media menu.

There are a couple of issues though. I can't listen to the VT's stereo when I do this. Sometimes Android starts playing music randomly in the background - that's a known issue. That lead me to figuring out to play some audio that I wanted on my Android when in this mode.

Somehow I have figured out how to get the VT NAV lady to start working again for turn-by-turn navigation again without the BlueLink subscription. Don't ask me how I did this. Just fiddle around with the settings for yourself. My best guess is that Hyundai turned off the audio to incent people to buy the BlueLink subscription.
