I am looking for someone willing to be a guinnea pig for the VTurbo.

Whoever is willing to remove the bumper and cut a hole in the top of their bumper cover will get the parts for FREE.

What I am looking to see if it works for the VTurbo is a BOV flange adapter with an HKS style (or real HKS) Pull type BOV.

The reason I can't go right to making these available for everyone is that I am not 100% positive they will fit with the hood closed.

You wont have to make any cuts in the bumper before verifying fitment.

What I will need from you.

You will NEED to remove your front bumper for sure. Take off the stock BPV and install the flange/BOV replacement. Let the hood down easily, while making sure there is clearance between the hood and BOV. If there is clearance, close the hood completely. If the hood closes completely, you will have to cut a hole in the top of the bumper cover for the BOV to come through. This will also show off the BOV in the process!

First come, first serve.

This is what it looks like on the Genesis coupe turbo.. Obviously our BOV flange is on the Intercooler instead of the turbo.

The reason a hole would need to be cut in the top bumper cover is that the BOV+adapter will be taller than the forge. I just don't know how much clearance there is between the top of the BOV flange and the bottom of the hood. I can't test this out for obvious reasons, haha.

there will be no benefit with your setup Holger.. HAHA

The benefit vs. stock setup is holding boost better (just like a Forge BOV) even if it is slightly and the sound that most people like from the Tial/HKS. Also, looking badass :p

what turbosocks is trying to accomplish is having everything stock(piping, fmic, keep everything at stock location) and only replacing the stock bpv to a aftermarket bov with little fabrication.

he just needs to make sure it will fit with the hood closed.

yeah, with that kit. You spend ~250$ on one of the worst looking pipes that I have ever seen. Look at the 'welded' bead on the end of the pipes.

You still get a fake BOV with that kit also. for ~250$....

Also, take a look how that coupler fits... Look at how the flange is welded to the pipe.. the hole in the pipe isn't even the same size for cripes sake! worm groove clamps also.. Just an FYI that they probably put this entire kit together for less than 50$ with the quality you can see in the pictures.. I'm surprised they don't use rubber plumbing couplers also.

Kind of amazed they even market that garbage on KAI. Also, it seems to me that you would still have to block off the stock BOV or something. Otherwise it would be able to leak or act as a BPV AND BOV system which is just silly..

On another note, I was going to do a similar but PROPER setup like the one listed on CAI with a similar HKS style BOV but MUCH higher quality and it would only cost ~150$ shipped, which would include T-bolt clamps, stock block off plate and much better welds/fitment.

The BOV/BOV adapter I am talking about in this thread would end up being around 100$-120$ shipped and would be bolt on, functioning the same as that junk on KAI.

it has arrived.. Just need to go pick up some decent snap ring pliers.. Installing HKS or HKS style BOV's is a PAINNNN..
