Anyone running stock 215s on 8.75" wheels? Yes I know they would be stretched but I was hoping to see pics of exactly how much the stretch would be.

Thanks in advance.

I will punch you in the face next time I see you :)

There is hardly any rim protection as is.. Adding over 1.25" to the wheel width with the same tires o_O I ran a 205 on a 8" wheel once.. ONCE..

running stock tires on 18"x7.5" wheels. They are 38mm offset + 8mm spacer so they bump out 19mm (.75") more than stock.

I am pondering my next setup though.

Can't decide if I am going to stay full 18"x7.5" with 225/40 all around or so 18"x8.75" in the rear with some 245s...

It would be a little stretched. 215/40R18 rim width range is 7-8.5 so it'll be .25 more stretched than what it should be.

And hey, get off his back socks! real man stretches there tires lol Plus not all tires protect rims. Just know how to park and drive your car and you shouldn't have to worry about rim protectors :D

BTW depending on what offset that rim are you looking at, it will poke and with the vt/v you can not camber in the rear so it will look gross.

Anytime I want to see a size tire and a certain size rim I just google image it. There is always someone out there who runs them and post pics and what not

+38 PLUS another 8mm?? Do you have a pic of how much they poke out?

x7.5 might help tuck it in better than x8.5 but still, you are basically running 18X7.5 +30.

I can get the wheels that want in either +20 or +35 .... which offset would be better fit for the VT?

Are they XXR?

+20 or +35 will poke.

This guy has 18x9.75 +20 on 225/40/18. even if it was 18x8.75 +20 on 215/40/18, because of the +20 it would still poke. It would look nice if he can camber in the rear and drop it. But since the vt doesn't have that adjustability it will look like a 4 wheeler :(

yep, basically running 18x7.5 with 30 offset, no poke, almost flush.. The 225 tires should make it pretty darn flush and fill the wheel wells a tad more!

Don't get that wide of a wheel in +20.. +35 is going to be tight unless you do the fail stretch :p

8.75-7.5= 1.25..
1.25" = 31.75mm
31.75mm/ 2 (each side of wheel) = 15.875mm

They will essentially stick out about 11mm wider than my setup (minus 5mm for the effective offset)

11mm wider will put the lip of the rim at or beyond the fender.. In the rear with no way to be cambered this would cause a problem if you were lowered with the RIGHT sized tires. Right sized tires for a 8.75" wheel is at LEAST a 235 if not a 245.

Yep, xxr.

This guy on the other board is supposedly running 18x8.75 +35 with stock rubber....

OH MAN that looks hot. I knew you wanted those after seeing the rim you wanted lol

He says he rubs though. And that is the absolute lowest he can go with out rubbing any more.

with the height with the wheels still looks great. But you can tell he pokes. If that is ok with you than go for it. It would look SO good on a white VT. I feel white cars mate better with rims. They complement each other better than any other color/
