Hey everyone,

I just wanted to start a thread for posting updates on my VT as I slowly reach my ultimate goal of:

Land vehicle Vehicle Car Automotive design Coupé

Also I want to post any problems I encounter and any things that might make some processes easier for people that might be planning on doing similar things.

This weekend I installed the Injen CAI for my VT. This was a very fun and easy swap. I followed Turbosocks and the instructions that came with the CAI on taking out the stock intake system which was really the hardest part of the installation. I did not have a lot of different attachments and tools to my disposal and I learned that taking out the driver side headlight and the driver-side plastic splash guard (underneath the car) helped free up some space to help with reaching some of the hardware that needed to be taken out for removal of the stock system. After that it was a simple "plug-and-play" with the Injen CAI.

The CAI is very loud and I love it! At low RPMs it sounds like Darth Vader gasping for air and when you step on it, a crisp whistling sound breaks the silence. With windows up the sound is barely noticeable. I also had the opportunity to drive it home 140 miles the day after the installation and noticed a slight MPG increase (and I was driving a little more aggressive than I usually do).

On top of that I installed the Amber LED fog light swaps and I really like the color.

Then I did a couple of trim coloring with Plastidip. Back emblem, rear spoiler and my door handles. I also tinted the lower half of my tail lights.

Next up with be painting the side-skirts and rear-view mirrors along with exhaust installation. I am saving up for COs and my wheel/tire set up.

That looks like you went with 19x9.5 in the rear... are you having issues? I was told I could safely go with 8.5. Anything above a 9+ would cause issues so I'm just curious...
That image was photoshop but I will be trying to make my car look as close as possible to that image. Probably 18x8.75 +35et all the way around with some tire stretch will be what will work. Not sure if I want to go 19s

Yeah, it's all good. I was just surprised because one of my sponsors looked into for me and was like "yeah sorry bro but the best you'll do is 8.5 unless you roll fenders and then your even pushing it..." lol Yeah I'm going to go with 19x8.5 on my secret wheels that I have no motive getting at the moment.

Yeah I am hoping to get an aggressive fitment with a little bit of -camber (like 1.5 to 2) With +35et or +20et (if I can make it work). If I have to roll then I gotta do what I gotta do!

Was it hard tinting half of the tailights? Cause it looks dope
Thanks dude! It was a lot harder than installing the CAI in my opinion lol. Took a long time to try and match either side perfectly. I used electrical tape and it worked fine. Since it is stretchy I could get nice flowy lines.

like the door handles, i just might have to do mine now....lol looks good keep up with the photos
Thanks man, yeah I think they came out well. Subtle but makes a big difference! Also if you plan on doing it with Plasti-Dip. Make sure you really get the spray on the inside of the door handle. I had to re-do once because I didn't get enough coverage. It is an awkward angle but try the best you can to get as much coats in that area. Maybe even start with that area first...let it dry then start with the front.

Its realy awsome car.,.,.,.,
Thank you!

Hey guys,

Quick update on my VT. Just ordered me a set of these:

Alloy wheel Rim Wheel Spoke Tire

18x8.75 +35et (keeping it slightly practical for this car) I will be wrapping them in Hankook Ventus 215/35s to get a little bit of stretch.

Still waiting on my Ksport coilovers. They ended up redesigning the upper hat so it has been a while. But hopefully within the next couple of weeks I should have my VT dropped.

Meanwhile the VT met up with her sister over the weekend (she is jealous how much more I love the Subaru than her).

I will post photos of the wheels as soon they are on. Most likely in the next week!

Take care!

Ugh. I JUST found your thread. You have had me in suspense since you said you were going to test fit your 9.5s on your VT. I been oogling at some ROTAs or Varrstoens, and your fitment was what would determine if i would stick with it or not. But i see you went with the XXR +35s..... Shame on you :(

It will look great tho. That wheel looks legit on these cars.

Sorry to disappoint you. I got distracted because i found a 2inch nail in my back tire on my Subaru when I was back home so that was my priority. I can still put them on. Ill make sure to do that the next time I am back with her. I promise! and you will be the first to know.
