My sons 2013 turbo grenaded at 103000 and I did a motor swap. All is well except the Automatic transmission shifting. When I put it in park it is like the cable does not push far enough and stays in reverse for a few seconds and then makes a clunk and goes into park unless it is on a hill then the car will coast forward a few feet and it clunks like it is trying to go into park and finally does most of the time. The clip that holds the cable in the console broke when he tried to shift it into park after the motor blew (he was not aware of the interlock switch) so I purchased an oem cable and replaced the old one just to be sure it was not the cable. I have adjusted the cable at the transmission as far as it will go but still the same. Any ideas would be appreciated!!!
