Anybody else having a problem getting the Automatic Volume Control to work? I have mine "on" but there is no difference in volume whether or not the car is at highway speed or at idle. Just wondering if there's a setting or adjustment that I've overlooked.

The funny thing is I pulled up at a light the other morning and thought that my music had turned down a notch or two. As I pulled away and got up to speed it got louder .. that's the first time I've noticed it.

Surprised to see this thread, I was thinking of how impressed I am with how well it works in my car. I set the volume to a comfortable volume and it stays consistent no matter what the driving conditions are.

Mine just recently started to do the startup sound, maybe the volume control is next on the list to randomly start working.
IF the startup tune is silent you have to tap the steering wheel volume control up in those seconds that you know it should be playing. What I can't figure is that my AVC didn't work in my NAV and doesn't work in my Turbo. I may mention it to the Service Rep at my next oil change but I sure don't want them to tear my dashboard apart to find out why.

Maybe it just reset to default for so reason. Go back into INFO/SETUP to disable it.
INFO/SETUP
Welcome Sound
1. Press [SETUP] > [Sound] > [Welcome Sound].
2. Touch [Modern], [Acoustic] or [Elegance]
to play the welcome sound you set when
the ignition switch is placed in the ACC ON
position.
Touch [Welcome Sound OFF] to cancel it.

You do have it set in the menu, right?
INFO/SETUP
AVC (Auto Volume Control)
1. Press [SETUP] > [Sound].
2. Touch [AVC] to control automatically the audio
volume according to the speed of the vehicle.
The indicator is illuminated. Touch [AVC] again
to cancel it.

I have the same experience with the AVC and have verified that it is turned on.

However, occasionally I do catch it working. I think it's problem is that it just doesn't work enough. It needs a gain setting or something.

I just rock my face off all the time no matter how fast I'm going.
