What are you folks averaging in total per tank?
I just hit 300, light came on, filled her up (11 gallons) and dash says 385 miles left till empty.
I'm hoping these numbers get better.
I wasn't driving too aggressively besides going 80mph on the highway, and yet, only managed 300 before light came on.

According to my Fuelly, I'm only got 26mpg this tank. Probably because of the heavy foot and shifting at 5K to hear the swoooooosh sound CAI make and the PSHHHSHSHHSHS sound the BOV make...

This is only my third tank though. The second tank (mainly highway), I was right at 30mpg.

It's suppose to increase as you break it in.

I'm on my 5th tank and 300 miles is about right for me so far. Most of the blame is on my right foot. I do a lot of stop and go city driving with occasional short high speed highway runs. I just did a bunch of tame highway driving and my average mpg jumped to 30.

The highest average I have seen is 22 mpg. My car normally stays between 16-20. What could I do to improve it? 98% of my driving is done in the city and I avoid accelerating hard as much as possible. I don't even have 600 miles on the car yet.

Your mileage will come up. There is a big difference between city driving and highway driving mileage too.

I was getting like 24mpg with some fast highway driving at first. Then at about 600 miles I took a relaxed highway trip and I got 38mpg.

Mine has gotten better at 1,200 miles and apparently it gets even better when you do your first oil change at 3,000 miles.

im 42 miles one way all highway going to work and i average 32mpg @65 mph, 30mpg @ 75
Goin to work is a little more downhill so the trip varies a bit

The only time I see any higher is doing 55mph on the way to work, that seems to be the sweet spot on cruise. Get 38mpg going to work and 35 on the way back.

I hit my 600 mark today and fill up on 93 octane since it was cheap (3.45/gal).. 3.45 has been the low end on 87 for months now, so I figured I might as well try it out

Holy god does it run better...
Averaged 40mpg with eco off on the way home from work which is usually the way I get worse gas mileage..
I dont know if its just kick ass gas, or the break in period, but jeesus I was not expecting a jump like that.. If these numbers keep up I might just keep using 93 because the extra 3-5$ would be worth it

I plan on filling up with 93 on my next fill as well but I think it has more to do with the engine break in period.

I just got 350 miles on my 5th tank.

I've been using the Eco screen a bunch now and I realize that my biggest enemy to mileage isn't my right foot - it's traffic jams. When I'm being quite naughty I still get 15mpg average over 5 minutes, but when I'm stuck in traffic for 5 minutes I get as low as 7mpg! It broke 40mpg routinely doing 75mph on the highway on this tank.

I just drove from LA to VEGAS for SEMA (and back the next day---one day turn around!). Going out I set the cruise at 91mph with a pack of cars---I filled up at the hotel and found I'd gotten 24.4mpg ( I had one burst of WOT for a minute or so and then really no traffic the whole way). On the way home I set the cruise at 81mph and other than a brief traffic stint for maybe 10 minutes it was smooth sailing...I filled up this morning and found out I'd gotten 34mpg even---nearly 10mpg better---I'd be at 65 or 70mph it would be pretty close to 36/37mpg on the freeway.

Just turned 3000 on my VT and Commute just under 100 miles a day. I have been averaging 34 mpg and around 425 miles per tank. You guys have serious Lead feet! It will be interesting to see if I get improvement after my first oil change. Interesting thing, as I was checking my e-mail I had a note from the car telling me I needed my first service! It had my exact mileage noted in the e-mail. Big brother is watching!

Just filled up with 93 this morning.
DTE still showing around 350 but I usually end up filling at around 310.
Will see how this tank goes.
