[Turbosocks]

The last couple days I have been having a weird issue with the Air Bag light popping up. It went off and then back on a couple times so I just pushed it off as a faulty light or whatever.

Well this morning on the way to work, all hell broke loose with the cluster.

Lost my speedometer
ABS light popped on
TCS light popped on
Parking brake light popped on
Air Bag light was on
Lost Navigation
Blue Max wouldn't work

Who knows what else Car still felt the same.. braked the same.. no noises.. Guessing some weirs electronic issue but this is the first time it happened and really initially freaked me out .

Probably taking it to the dreaded dealer today and hopefully they can fix it quick..

Doubt it I haven't ran vents since I've owned the car and its rained like a hell, flooded neighbors yard and everything.
Though for some unknown reason I keep blowing fuses this week for the media/ cigarette lighter ports

Definitely not worried about the mods. When I took it to the dealer the other day and they said 'Is that a turbosocks car' and had me pop the hood, I wasn't too concerned.

They told me that the mods would only impact those systems unless I came in with engine damage and it was found to be something sucked in due to a bad filter. I don't plan on my filter being eaten by anything

I am going to check some fuses today and see if I can figure out what the hell is going on and if a fuse is blown, why.. Then, if no worky, I will take it in..

It was definitely the anodizing on the rigid collars. Screwed it all up. lol


That's actually the whole reason I bought the extended warranty on this car. It wasn't for the drive train it was for all the little electronics and crap. That is where you end up having your problems one day. With all the crazy electronic bits on cars these days you almost have to expect something to go wrong here and there. I traded in my Acura because it had so many dumb little electronics issues.

Idk if this helps but the same thing happened to me after having my nitrous installed, almost 2 days later. Started as one light then everything else followed. Turns out the installer just slightly sliced a few hidden wires by the firewall. It took forever to find and was barely noticeable. I know you do a lot of work on your car,somaybe something similar happened? And on a side note, the dealership assumed it was something much worse and wouldn't cover even the inspection charge. So i just brought it back to my trusted shop.

But I think with all your mods on your VT(and more soon to cum), your VT just has orgasmic climax every now and again. Thus, you're getting wild Christmas lights cumming on now and again. It just can't contain itself. It is just something you are going to have to deal. Some women are easier to climax than others.

Same kind of thing happened on my last car while putting a radio in since I had to make a tricky cut in the firewall. My money is on a wire. The only other time i saw something crazy like that was an old minivan that ran completly out of battery. When we recharged it and started it lights were flashing, warning lights came on, and the gauges flew all over like a madman. Turns out even the ECU ran outa power and went nuts. I hope i never see that in our cars.

OK Turbosocks i know you didnt work on your audio system but i had same issue heres why.

On P/S under the set is about 5 sets of wires going into the factory amp well i installed my own setup and left that amp inplace so happened that one set of wires rubbed on the external heat sink to where copper toutched and that was it... may not help.

that was it.. Some how my airbag light/amp harness got partially unplugged and I think it grounded out/freaked out, causing the christmas tree of fail!

Got the same issue, just a few weeks back, they replaced airbag module and today the light are back car not modded and nothing been tinkered with. Bucket the dealer I go, just out of interested did anytime the car stop running or went wonky. Just want to make sure I was on the highway when the handbrake light come on with the rest of it and was wondering should I pull over or not

Wow since this thread got revived from over 3 years ago, I'll add my own 2 cents. I just recently had my passenger air bag module replaced as well, 2-3 weeks later the air bag light would start coming on sporadically for a moment then disappear. Now the light is on constantly and I have been experiencing the same issues that Turbosocks was seeing, speedo drops out and then comes back, parking/ABS/TC/EPS lights coming on and off and cruise will now cut out as well. Bringing it in to the dealer next week, anything I should let them know to narrow down the fault? Check the wiring coming from the passenger seat air bag module?

For me it starts with flash of the airbag light then if I'm lucky thats it, when its bad I get random flashing of different lights. speedo drops in / out. If that happens then I get solid on airbag light from then on. I have also had it on highway in cruse control then it drops out like I have tapped the brakes, then if this happens all the lights strait flashing., I had changed my airbag module then about 2-3 weeks latter it started again. Mine went back in again a couple of week ago and they say they are going to change the vacuum pump. But its on backorder, so far they have kept my car for 2 weeks so far no sign of it getting fixed
