So after tagging my rear bumper on a light pole during our cruise Saturday (no real damage, just a minor scratch), I starting looking into what it would take to upgrade to the stock Parking Assist system......and holy hell... It would require the following:
That is just the big stuff (an easy $800-$1k), plus the IPM is what controls the key fob which means they would have to reprogrammed or repurchased...
Needless to say not something that is going to be happening anytime. I am going to look into nicer aftermarket sets though.
- x4 Parking Assist sensors ($91/ea)
- x4 sensor holders
- replacement IPM module ($220)
- Sensor wiring harness ($109)
- Replacement combination switch module (for lighting control/parking assist, etc)
