Probably the lamest question on here....but here goes:

What is the best way to remove the small circular H insert from the Alloy wheels. Just had my winter tires/steel rims installed and now I want to remove these inserts from the alloys for storage reasons. I tried hitting them from the inside with the handle end of a screw driver but felt that it was not moving at all and I didn't want to break them.

I used a wooden dowel that I wrapped with a small cloth, then hammered it on the other side. It's pretty tight in there, but it'll pop out.

It has these springy metal clips around the edge from a picture I saw.
Should be able to just hammer it out with a dowel or a flat post.. ill see if I cant find the pic I saw it in.

Looks like there is a ring or something that holds clips in..

Yes Evil J, I noticed that it is built similar to a hubcap with the metal ring.

If they are like every other Hyundai center cap, you can just take a pair of pliers and grab one side of the metal ring that holds each in and pry it out of the channel it rests in. The cap will then easily slide out.
