Well, my luck, I got rod knock after headed to work yesterday and after I got off the freeway my car just took a shit and started knocking. Now i'm carless while working 25+ miles from my house with one form of transportation that is also not reliable.

Pretty sure I'll be having to replace the whole bottom end or whole engine at this point. My ex roommate is telling me to look at the KDMTuner rebuild kit but I honestly can't afford anything that just happened when I was barely keeping up with regular maintenance.

How long does installing an engine usually take for our cars? Weeks, days or months?

if you have a complete engine, in an afternoon. if you have to build it and you are comfortable, maybe a day or two. if you are relying on a shop or hyundai, it could be a bit.

Of course not, I'm not even financially stable anymore to stay in my apartment, reason I was planning to move April 1st.

Does Hyundai offer payment plans or can I ask my credit union if I can get a loan or cash advance for a engine rebuild?

looks to be going somewhat in favor, got a small loan from my current union and im applying at navy federal this week so hopefully new engine and a trade in!

Sure but with little to no info, I will be having a shop handle the business as long as prices sound right.
I'm still waiting for my loan, to get it replaced.
