Here is the Blue Link App connected to the all new 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo. The Blue Link system by Hyundai is amazing and allows you to do so many cool things. Watch as I remote unlock and remote start the Veloster turbo from my iPhone. This thing is amazing and is going to be the hottest hatch on the roads this year.

negative. It's illegal to have remote start on a manual transmissions because if you have the car in first gear or in reverse and you start it up... well some unfortunate things can happen like a child being ran over by a moving car with no driver in it.

I've had this app on my phone for four months and still don't have my car. Can't wait to finally use it.

Anyone know what the maximum range is for BL to connect to the cars system? Can I remote start my car while I'm sitting at my desk 500 ft away, or do I need to be as close as this person was?

I think its definitely more than 500ft. I remotely locked the doors from my office which is more than 500 ft away. I haven't remote started it though. I will try today.

smb73, the connection is not done directly to your car. It is done via satellite. I can start, lock, unlock, and locate the car all from my iPod, of course, with wifi connection. It all depends if the car has good satellite reception. BTW, remote start will only work on A/Ts.

I can see this as being cool for a little bit, but I can't see continuing to pay after the trial is up. I have a Jeep Wrangler with a remote start and like any other key initiated start, it's range may be a little more limited, but I can start it from one side of the house and not even point at it and it'll warm up and I'm out the door and off to work. This one seemed to take the same time it would have taken me to drive to work...ugh!

The remote start really only helps if you live somewhere super hot and you leave the AC on and turn your car on when you're about to head outside.. or when you live somewhere cold and you leave the heater on and what not.... if you live somewhere climate neutral it's used to show off how bad ass our cars are.. like I do :)

no blue link remote start is the only case in turbo with MT or you don't get the blue link feature at all in MT??

I just picked up my turbo MT and i don't see blue link feature in my car...or it only comes with specific VT model package??

I didn't know about this feature when i purchased the vehicle.

I have Blue Link on mine. I have the Ultimate package on mine, but that only gives my the sunroof, navigation, 115v outlet, auto headlights and back up camera. The 2014 just adds automatic climate control and the name is changes to Tech Package. I had to subscribe to the service, but I still don't have remote start because it's a MT. Enough yacking by me, but to answer your question, no, none of the MT Turbo and non-Turbos get remote start.

You should have Blue Link in your car. If your rearview mirror has a button with a 'B' you have it. If not that's wierd. But, if it does than the dealer that sold you the car didn't do his/her job on getting you or at least telling you how to sign up for the service. I think now you get at least a year of the Assurance package free, but Hyundai changes crap all the time. I would go back to the dealership an have them help you sign up for it. At least in the mean time here is the site for the U.S. Blue Link service. There might be a different webpage for Canada. https://www.hyundaiusa.com/technology/bluelink/
