So, after a year of owning my VT, I have decided it is time to drop some mods into it. And regardless what my GF says, this is not a mid life crisis

ENGINE:
Injen SRI w/custom heatshield.
Borla exhaust (installed on 8/8 by Benchmark Motors)(custom branch resonator by Zury Fabrications on 9/21).
Torque exhaust bushings* (removed due to excessive vibration).

TRANSMISSION:
TWM Performance - shifter link bushings.

EXTERIOR:
8000k low beam HID from DD.
3000k HID fogs from DD.
30% window tint.
Rally Armor mud flaps.
License plate LEDs.

INTERIOR:
LED bulbs.

SUSPENSION/BRAKES/WHEELS:
Uniq strut bar.
R1 Concepts rotors (slotted/dimpled)
Red colored calipers.

AUDIO/ELECTRONICS:
Stock and will probably remain that way.

FUTURE PLANS:
BoV.
845 Motorsports Turbo/manifold/FMIC upgrade
Custom ECU tune.
Possible wheels:

8/2 - Installed bushings today, I recommend removing the battery tray for easier access. Shifting is now significantly more smoother and precise, no bounce-back at all. I recommend every VT owner with manual to consider this upgrade.
However, my camera battery crapped out before I can take some pictures.

I know, it is not a performance part, but it will bolt-on/off many of them to come. I figured If I am going to mod the car, I must have the right tools.

Injen SRI

It just came in and its super light. I plan on installing it this weekend along with shifter link bushings. Since lots of people are having clearance issues between SRI and high-pressure fuel rail, by taking lagonwagon's advice I will attempt to show with pics how to add clearance between SRI and high-pressure fuel rail.

8/2 - SRI is installed and holy crap it is loud. I will post some pics tomorrow as well as custom vibramount to solve clearance problem between SRI and high-pressure fuel rail.

10mm wrench and this is how you get to the 3rd screw on the stock air box. It is all mostly done by feel and lots of patience.

This is the custom vibramount, still a prototype, but I will have more updates/pics on how to fabricate custom vibramount tomorrow.

It is kind of hard to see in this pic, but there is a solid 1/4" space between the SRI and high-pressure fuel rail.

Borla exhaust

Just arrived today and having it installed tomorrow after work.

8/8 - Borla is installed along with Torque exhaust bushing and I am starting to believe that Torque exhaust bushings were a bad idea. There is just too much vibration and there is definitely cabin drone. I asked the shop to save stock bushings so I can test my theory out. I think that Torque exhaust bushings are contributing to cabin vibration (especially when idle) and cabin drone.
I love the sound of Borla exhaust, it is deep and sounds different thru out the RPM range. However, only time there is no cabin drone is when cruising in 6th gear; it seems to be the worst in 2k - 3k RPM range. Especially when downshifting.

8/27 update: again depending on the outside temperature, exhaust will either drone in the 2k-3k range, or barely drone. I am going to Zury Fabrications to have them make a branch resonator to cancel out droning. it should look something like this http://i1014.photobucket.com/albums/af266/boom335/benchmade proper/4fe76fbf.jpg

Could you do a sound clip of the Borlo? and its drone? this the exhaust i was thinking of getting but if it drones really bad its going to make an hour ride to work feel even longer you know. other that that it looks good man keep it up cant wait to see more pics

With 7yr old running around high on sugar and a list of chores, I WILL get a clip in for everyone to hear, eventually. But it sounds much better in person. I was just driving next to a Ralliart Lancer this morning that had Greddy style exhaust and I could not hear my exhaust over his. So, it is definitely quieter compared to what is out there, I think my ears are just more sensitive as this is my first exhaust.
