I know the VT will come with a 3 or 6 month trial of BlueLink - but what does everybody think, and are you going to pay for it when the time is up?

I've been looking into it this morning - and the remote start / lock / unlock sounds really handy, and definitely the maintenance log / alerts (I'm not precisely the best on maintenance).

One thing that has me curious - the $279 / yr package has turn-by-turn navigation - is that something that's not built into the navigation unit on the ultimate? I know it's not a Garmin or Tom-Tom, but I would think basic directions and turn-by-turn would be a given on a navigation unit.

From the video I have seen, not really impressed with it..
Im sure with 3 months its long enough to decide if you really need it or not.

Remote start would be my preferred feature for these cold Canadian Winters lol

I'm sure this BlueLink will be on mine as I will most likely end up with a 2014 Ultimate
And if it is on the new car, I assure yiou, once the free part runs out, I will be done with it
No way would it be worth $300 a year to me

yea "3h2h1", we all essentially know your life history thanks to your overly informative posts. thanks.
and i mentioned the remote start because someone else brought it up so i thought i'd clear up the misconception. and remote start IS connected through blue link. remote entry isn't, but remote start is.

While I'm new to the forum, last I checked we were in USA/Canada which allows us to speak our mind, when we choose. If 3h2h1 wants to talk about his new car, let him! We're all excited about our new cars or our pending new cars. Allow him to be excited as well. This is a forum, and thus people will say what they want, when they want, how they want. If you don't like that he talks about his car, then don't read his posts... There is no reason to act like what you have to say is more important than what he was going to say..... shame on you two... TomVT and Ezioauditore.. shame..

remote start will NOT be on the M/T... period.. it would be a lawsuit waiting to happen for a manufacturer.

Regarding BlueLink though, some of the features seem like they will be really cool. Depending on how I like the trial and what I feel like spending money on at that point, I may continue on with BlueLink. The only thing that will sorta suck is you already get Nav with the Ultimate package (Although I have heard the BlueLink Nav is nicer)

Relax guys, I don't know why you are so hostile with 3H2H1 over mentioning the 2014 model will have it and his thoughts on keeping it once expired..

On the pickup I have a clutch over-ride button, with this activated I can start the truck without pushing in the clutch
I can assure you, EVERYTIME I use it, I get a vision of the truck being in gear, starting right up, crashing through the garage door and into the car in the garage
:D
