Hey peeps, I got my new boost gauge in the mail yesterday and after some brief skimming over the top of the firewall and such I only noticed one location for me to route my vacuum tubing inside of the car and it may not reachable from the inside. I plan on getting underneath it today and looking for some lower entrances, but was hoping you guys may have some pics or pointers as to where I could route it easily. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!! :D

I haven't looked yet but could you route it through a bulkhead hole? I would think that the spot for the cable release for the hood would possibly work.

I put my wires through the bulkhead fitting above the clutch pedal. Bit of a PITA to get at, but works well enough.
I went through the hood release cable grommet. In the same area

Was the only upper location I seen that would be feasible and not so hard to access on the inside of the car. I shall see about making that happen tonight, i'm super curious what actual boost psi I'm pushing. Thought about doing the boost hack, just not sure on it yet.

Route it directly behind the turbo/intake casting. Large grommet,..simple to route in behind the glove box across the center transom up to the steering wheel.

That was where I contemplated putting it but was unsure how easily accessible it is from the inside. Do I have to remove the glove box and then I can bring it across from there?!? That is where I am most likely going to do it as it's an easy routing if that's the case.

Pull the grommet out of the firewall in the engine bay. I used a coat hanger cut to fish through the hole. Then tied on my wires and pulled through. Removing glove box won't make it any better.

Thanks guys for your responses. I will be checking on the hood cable routing tonight, if it doesn't rain. I pulled the glove box down and was able to see that grommet really easily but routing the stuff would be harder to get across the dash. I'm not really concerned with the wire for power as much as I am about the tubing for the vacuum line.

When I finally get my gauge along with the a-piller mount I'll do a video DIY. In the mean time though get one of those add a fuse wires and run the power wire from the gauge to that and then plug it into your fuse panel. I would use the ACC one since you only want it on when the car is on, of course ground goes to a ground point.

The wiring is the easy part, dunno why everyone was talking bout the wiring lol! The "tubing" like in the title is what I needed help routing. It's been freakin raining it's ass off here in Texas for the past week. I will be checkin out the hood release cable section this afternoon if it's dry enough and also looking closer at running it from inside the grommet behind the turbo as I can see it clear as day with the glove box down (which was super freaking easy to get down). Routing it across the dash to the column area will prove to be the harder part of that though.

ahhh yes, you could use a wire hanger or something and push that through under the dash. I'd go through the hood release grommet since it is already on that side of the car.

That's what I was thinking! I got the fuse tapper today at O'Reilly's so I'll be hoping to get it done tonight if my buddy is home to use his garage! It's been nothing but rain here lately!

Finally decided to take a break from BF4 and installed my boost gauge this afternoon. I routed the vacuum line through the hood release cable, the vacuum line was easily pushed through the rubber grommet without using a hanger or much force. Bought the wrong fuse tap, so I have to go back and exchange it tomorrow. Buy 2-10 amp instead of 1-10 amp for our cars people!

I tried this and could not locate it coming out the other side of the car (the firewall side under the hood).. any pics of where it comes out? Did you remove the battery to see it? Also, mine isn't going through the grommet as easy I had to use a coat hanger and could only push about 3-4inches through (that's what he said, bahaha) and was unable to see it on the other side. I'm going to be reattempting to accomplish it this afternoon, but not sure how i'm going to go about it.

Also, bump to the top for Santos to show me his routing pic lol! Thanks for the help fellas, I'm going to just drill a hole if it's not done tonight. I'm vastly inclined as far as mechanics and doing this kind of crap. So now it's to the point of bothering me I haven't got it done and I'm going to just MAKE it work lol!

Battery and ECU have to be removed to access the Wire loom or hood latch cable.

The grommet behind the glove box is easier. Come in from the engine bay you will see the 4 inch grommet right above the cast intake pipe.

I was going to use the grommet behind the glove box as it was the first and easiest one to use IMO. My problem was having enough tubing and more so, the routing of it across the backside of the dash across to the driver's side. Any pointers on getting it over to the drivers side and where would be the best place to go?!?

Just buy more vacuum tubing it is cheap.

Just run it along the bottom of the bash. Lots of places to sip tie the line out of eye sight and still look clean.
