boost gauge?

There have been a few threads about a boost gauge but that was a while ago.

A boost gauge doesn't tell you anything that the seat of your pants doesn't tell you.

If you change out the turbo - which no one has done yet - a boost gauge might be important.

For now the turbo boost is measured by the smile on your face.

You didnt answer any of my questions. Please dont reply with anything if you are going to be this useless.

I see that stone axe posted the same bs on that thread too. Regardless of a boost gauges use on a stock turbo car, I would still enjoy seeing my boost climb and all that good stuff. Planning on getting a downpipe and a few other things and im interested in seeing any improvements by looking at a boost gauge.

I want a boost gauge too even if its a stock turbo. I looked into it so I had reached out to glowshifts and they sent my request to their R&D development team for approval. Not sure where that ended but I contacted my guy here in the ATL and he recommended a interior designer because I want the 3 guage pillar for boost, afr, and oil temp. So basically you got to get one custom done locally. Or you can just mount a boost guage to your dashboard (fugly) but do able.

There has got to be a way to show this on the touch screen.. I'm surprised Hyundai didn't include this. Clearly the data is available already in the system.

maybe the HUD in the dash I dont think the touch screen would gather that kind of info sadly.

I love the idea of it being on the touch screen... in fact I would love to be able to get a whole heap of info re the car in the touch screen!

I just installed a Podi boost gauge on Staurday. I will start a thread with pictures tomorrow.

I have to get off my ass to test this.. but you might be able to. the head unit runs off of windows CE so technically you should be able to install programs on it

where would it get the info from though ?
I mean if it gathers that info but doesnt display it sure you could make something, but i`m curious as to why the touch screen would need to know boost pressure. I cant see why it would need that but if someone knows why it needs it than can you please explain to me

obd2 port just like torque.. you could try to pair the head unit with the blue tooth and install palmer scan xl or some other scanning software, the touch screen doesn't need to know anything it would be basically turning your head unit into a touchy screen computer

so its currently not gathering that information?
