Boost surge/flutter/stutter in 2016 veloster turbo dct

My car (VT 16' DCT) has about 50,000 miles on it. I bought it new from the dealership in Russellville, AR with 16 miles on it. Everything has been great with the car until here recently. When I'm driving down the road in about 3rd gear the turbo starts to flutter/surge/stutter at about 4-5k rpm and then sometimes goes into limp mode. When in limp mode it lets me drive it at a maintain speed but does not let me accelerate like it should and can't hear the turbo. When I turn the car off and back on it resets it back to normal but still get this surging noise when giving it about 2/3 of throttle.

I've tried to see through my OBD2 reader to catch the Fuel Flow to see if it gets restricted at the times it starts to surge and don't see anything. Boost vacuum seems normal as well. So I'm not sure what the issue is.

I've read on threads/forums that it could be a High Pressure Fuel Pump, kink in the fuel line, BPV solenoid torn, maybe something to do with the waste gate?
No CELs are being shown or thrown even when it goes to limp mode, so can't check it for the issue.

Attached is a link of a 2013 model having the same issues. Mine sounds exactly like this, and you can feel the turbo boost going up and down quickly.

I have the life time power train warranty, but wanted to get opinions before my scheduled appt on June 13th. (Hyundai Tech won't be back from vacation until then)
Also need to know if it's safe to drive until my appt. Car isn't affected until I try to get on the throttle a bit.
Please help if you can.

Did you ever find the problem? I have the same issue with my 2014 mvt..
Since the op has no updates let us know more details on what yours is doing exactly. More details gets better answers.
Basically exactly what op said but I do have a boost gauge and I can tell it's over boosting when that happens and then it's like the wastegate opens and dumps half the pressure and closes and then repeats. That's the only thing I know that he didn't already say but it's definitely the same problem. Mine sounds and acts the same as his does in the video.
I forgot to mention it was happening before the boost gauge was installed also
When it does overboost it it's peaking around 23 PSI. Also no cel or codes.
If it goes to 23 psi the gauge is incorrect and/or the car is tuned. If tuned it could be related to the tune in the car.

You did not mention the mods on the car or when specifically it does this. Gear, rpm, temperature most importantly intake air, elevation, etc.....
No tune. it's the noise that you hear on Op's video. I think it's the wastegate opening and slamming shut. I just can't figure out why or how that would happen. when it's acting normal i peek at 16-18 PSI. Boost gauge is analog btw.
Could be a boost leak and/or solenoid issue would be my best guesses then.
That's what I'm thinking too but it's odd that it won't do that in first or second gear. It's only at lower RPMs in higher gears
Low gear low load to make boost. Higher gear higher load to make boost. If not a boost leak or solenoid issue it may be fuel line related. It could be sorted with someone in the know checking out the car and datalog.
