I'm guessing cartridge upgrade/compressor housing. Not a full replacement turbo. Perhaps Turbosocks or one of the others have a manifold in mind if there's enough demand.
we will be working on a manifold.. a drop in replacement will probably be available as well.. as far as demand for the manifold.. ours is getting made no matter what lol

sooo.. the important thing is .. someone needs to find out it the sonata turbo/manifold combo will bolt up and if it's a different turbo.. i'm looking already
My understanding from an article posted on here a while back is that the turbo we had was a new one made for this drive train. It is not in the Sonata. I know that specifically.

A lot of the matching parts have the same numbers. I'm guessing there is a prefix number that relates to the platform.
I know this is true for the hook gas shocks.

Well, let me ask this, is the 2.0 Turbo in the Sonata the same engine code as the 1.6 Turbo in the VT.

Ex) 1985 Nissan 200sx came with two different engines.

ca18et
ca20e

The only difference between those two engines is one is a 1.8L Turbo while the other is a 2L NA, but because they're the same engine parts can be shared between both engines.

Ex #2) Nissan 240sx

ka24e
ka24de
ca18det
sr20det

I listed the JDM variants because they're direct replacements with little wiring needed to run in the USDM chassis. KA parts are not interchangeable with CA or SR engines because they're three totally different engine platforms/design.

You forgot the sr20e sr20ve sr20vet... And the rb series are almost drop-ins.

Yes, completely different motor family.
There was the sr20de, but no sr20e. I know of a few guys that have swapped an sr20de into their cars for I have no idea why because I would have stuck with the ka24de for free and make more power and tq than the sr20de. The sr20ve(t) nor the RB series was never a 240sx/180sx/silvia factory engine, that's why I didn't mention them.
