Hi guys,
I recently bought the cold pipe upgrade from Turbosocks, and the install went smoothly. It acted as expected perfectly fine for about 3 weeks and then recently all of a sudden I was driving and the BOV would not open even at high rpm. When letting off the throttle I get a really bad fluttering sound which I'm assuming is compressor surge. About 5 minutes of driving like that and a check engine light came on but I don't have a reader so I can't say what it is. With that aside the car behaves pretty much normally. I still need to use the car so I have been driving without suddenly letting off the gas to avoid a that excess pressure dumping back into the turbo.
Problem 2:
Before the BOV stopped opening, I was hitting what felt like a fuel cut at around 6k RPMs in 2nd gear (automatic) and 4.5k RPMs in 3rd, although its not extremely consistent and wont always cut power. The car has gone into limp mode before but it hasn't done it due to the power cuts yet. I've heard this is due to kinked fuel lines and I want to know if I'm right on the cause of this.
Sorry if the information is kind of vague, my car is really acting up and its hard to know what you need to hear to help me out. Thanks in advance!
