can anyone clarify this for me? is this true? i've had a quick browse around the internet and all the threads i found were really old and doesn't really give me much info.

i just did the BPV to BOV mod on here not knowing that there were legal issues here in Aus. this is the first turbo that i've ever owned.

thanks!

Illegal under emission control requirements and your car is then unroadworthy which voids your insurance. Good luck.

Motorcycles are allowed 99db which is very loud (my Triumph is 98db and being 2 cylinder like a Harley the note is quite shattering). Some Harleys are illegal like some cars (stock Veloster is 91db against the legal limit of 94db).

thanks for the info guys. like MA1tR!X, i don't really understand why it's an emission control issue when it is expelling compressed air. i could understand a noise issue but the mod that i did isn't crazy loud.

lucky the mod can be easily reversed as if nothing had been changed.

the problem is with MAFs for the most part I believe because when you don't recirc the BOV, it will run rich at that point and expel more emissions than usual. :p
