I had mentioned in a previous post that I wasn't sure the AT wasn't as fast or faster 0-60 than the MT.
My MT is a little quirky in 1st and 2nd and the hard stock tires definitely come in to play. I was surprised when I turned off the ECT - as many here suggest - it feels faster 0-60. My plan is to replace the stock tires with something softer in about a year for about $800.
The AT on the VT is like the handful of ATs I've driven on other Hyundais - very good. But there was just something I didn't like about the downshifting under acceleration and I felt that an MT fit the VT's personality better. I really like keeping it in a low gear when sport driving and manually selecting 4th-5th-6th when I'm city highway traffic sometimes.
