I wanted to get this, and then take the front half of the hood, where the downward curve that follows around to the body lines of the door, and color match it white, so just the rear half of the hood is visible carbon, I think that would look really good.

I think a CF hood could look good. However, it would be neat if a company provided a more aggressive design. (e.g. a mazdaspeed 3 hood style) or something of that matter.

The CF good would look great on white. Without a doubt. Keep in mind though the latch doesn't fit so you'll have to modify it!

We could probably fab some stainless or billet inserts for the hoods, possibly.

Also, I say go for it. I love white/black/carbon fiber combo(s). My car will have some CF and some red sprinkled in for accent color. I think if I were to get a CF hood, I would get the hood wrapped/painted in the OEM color from where the headlights meet the hood (at the orange reflector portion) to where the A Pillar meets the hood. To eliminate that big bulky side view of the CF not meshing well w/the rest of the body color/lines.

I hadn't noticed that body line issue w/the hood until I saw the silver V from the guy who sells the T-Shirts/Hats. He's got a CF hood on there and something was amiss, and I couldn't finger it..... Then I saw it! LOL

Man you guys would sell a ton of inserts between the NAV & Turbo guys...I have no idea why a manufacturer hasn't come out with something like that yet...

I've been throwing around the carbon fiber hood idea for a while, but wasn't sure if it was considered ricey or not-seems to be well received here though...

Carbon, done tastefully, is awesome in my opinion, great way to shed weight and look good. when it goes overboard is when I think it becomes ricey, but a hood, and rear hatch that have color matched paint, or are painted entirely, are nice I think.

The manufacturer recommends hood pins with the CF hood, so I'd think even painting it would leave you looking a little ricey, from that fact alone. Hood pins on the track are cool, but on a daily driver they're a little trashy, in my opinion.
