According to my new September issue of Car and Driver magazine, the changes for the '14 Veloster are: " The base model gets daytime running lights and a rearview camera, and the Turbo gets brake-actuated torque vectoring and an engine-sound generator." They list no minor trim changes.

What the hell are brake-actuated torque vectoring and an engine-sound generator???

and minor trim changes can make a world of a difference.

I wonder what their sources are...
torque vectoring is basically is basically a rough electronic LSD. engine sound generator is that they're making the exhaust be audible in the cabin.. the ford st does both of these

My Genesis has the sound generator. Its basically a tube off the intake running into the cabin so you can hear the car more. The torque vectoring would be using the brakes to slow down a spinning wheel and/or the wheel with the least amount of traction. Electronic brake LSD basically.

Who knows but for it to come from multiple people I would think is is more likely than not. On the think tank I believe people asked about the 2014 and JFK said SEMA in November as well as hyundai performance parts. They probably only tell about major changes than anything.

Thanks for that. Still though, how accurate is this information? Is there a possibility that there are other changes?
I'm just guessing here, but I would think that the magazines get this kind of info from press releases from the manufacturors. I would bet that it's fairly accurate. As we get inhto the 2014 model year maybe there could be some other changes though just like the 13s got nuematic hood lifts part way through the year.
