This is my first time owning a car with leather seats, so I'm not exactly sure of the best ways to take care of them. I'd like to get some cleaner/conditioner to use on them, but I was wondering if I could get feedback from other VT owners on what works best for them. I've read reviews on various products, and there are always people that have great things to say, and really bad things to say, which could be due to different materials and different expectations. Also, are the leather seats in the US VT real leather?

This is also my first leather car. I purchased the turtle wax cleaner and conditioner. Works great. I recently started seeing some dirty build up on the blue accent leather so i went and picked it up. Cleaned it all off and gave a nice look, like the same day i picked it up. Also did the vinyl on the doors. Unless thats leather also but i dont think it is. Lol well anyways it worked great. Lol

Lol this thread isn't helping too much only in the fact this still leaves me with so many choices when I'm ready to go get some for my seats as well

As with any product, ask 10 people, get 10 answers. I've always used saddle soap for cleaning when really dirty. But these seats feel like a much softer leather than a have had before so will probably find something different...
My advice? Find a conditioner and cleaner that you like the smell of.

Adams polishes is the way to go. It's expensive stuff but works so damn good.
I use the leather cleaner with horse hair brush to get dirt and stains from the side bolsters, followed up with the interior leather conditioner with SPF 65. The conditioner leaves the interior smelling like new leather. I like it cuz it's not oily or slippery or shinny.

i tend to stay away from meguiars / mother's / armor all for Interior. they make some AMAZING exterior products and imo mother's polish > all but for interior they's always been sub par.

now i doubt the veloster's interior is 100% real leather so I don't know if this is a bit overkill but i've always used leatherique products (Leatherique | Free Shipping Available - Detailed Image) for the interior, a bit expensive (okay a little more than a bit) but it's worth it! I buy it in bulk and been using with multiple cars i've own and some i've detailed. I've tried countless interior cleaners/conditions and i can say this is bar none the best i've used.

Now for a cheaper alternative i'd personally go with 303 aerospace protectant, this stuff is amazing. it's for a more casual wipe down cleaner, quick and painless.

I have white, and those damn little weird yellow bug poops leave stains in the clear if they stay on too long, that's why woman! lol

The Veloster has a similar style of leather seat to my previous car, which is leather facings and bolsters with leather-looking vinyl bases, sides, rears and headrests. On my previous car I used the same leather cleaner and conditioner as I used on the leather lounge suite in my house, and the leather in that car looked as good as new when I sold it after 6 years and 100,000km. You do need to condition leather or else it cracks, especially in the heat that a car generates. We condition leather protective gear for motorcycles to make them last and you need to condition leather car upholstery as well. It's safer to stay with cleaners and conditionerss designed for leather and not for generic surfaces in car interiors.

When I went to the store the other day I noticed there were leather cleaners and leather conditioners and then there was a 2in1 of each. I have never owned a car with leather seats and was wondering if there is any real difference between the two or if it is just a convenience factor. Also is there such thing as cleaning and conditioning the seats too often? For example is it a once a month option, whenever it's dirty, more often during the hotter months, etc. I'm probably making it more complicated than it is but I just don't want to make some stupid mistake :sorry:
