I was curious to see if anyone else that drives a manual VT has stumbled across clicking noises in their transmission, or clutch, or gearbox???
What I am referencing is something that I've been experiencing for the past 2 months now. Every-time I release my clutch, I hear a loud click (sounds like metal to metal clicking into place) I can hear in the cabin over my muffler delete,
so it's pretty loud. The reason I put a question mark is because I'm not really sure where it's coming from... It sounds like its outside underneath my vehicle?
The clicking noise upon release the clutch has worsened in the past month. It is getting louder, and definitely more prominent.
Also in first gear if I release the throttle my car seems to jitter and again I hear a click. Anyone have any thoughts? Would love to hear some feedback. thanks!

as a side note, I did have clutch pedal squeak that I fixed with a bit of oil. However, that is not what I'm referencing above. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same exact issue. At first I was thinking it was something in my suspension, then maybe my aftermarket wheels. Now I'm thinking it is in the transmission or something like you. I need to get to the dealer soon for it.

Where are the axle nuts located? Close to the transmission?

Axel nuts are on the end of the axle securing it to the hub/Wheel Bearing
Ahhh yeah, I don't know what I was thinking about. To the dealer next week I hope.

Did a search and found that NAV's, Elantras, and Sonatas are all having similar issues. It appears to be the axle nuts and a few have stated in this thread. Most are getting it fixed by the dealer with no issues.
