Big thanks to Ty once again for sending me the OEM motor mounts

So I took the VT in today for them to "diagnose" the same exact issue for the 3rd time but with the OEM mounts on & they called me back to say they couldn't reproduce the issue yet right when i start it sounds like shit. I died, i said this cant be the same mechanic & i was right!

They will call me back on Monday to waste more of my time with the original mechanic working on my 2nd flywheel. Smh meanwhile the rattleming has gotten so bad you hear a squeak in between super low rpm and turning off of the vehicle!

When can I claim lemon? :D

You seriously need to look into lemon law... I think they get three chances to fix and then lemon law kicks in but I am not 100%

Welp, 3rd transmission, 4th flywheel! Still bummed about having my stock mounts in. I'm so glad I didn't tune this car. Which is why I'm trying to sell my BTR tune.

Others will know better than me as I have not done any reading to educate myself on the matter, but you might want to look into a possible break-in period on the new tranny/flywheel.

From what I've read there is no need for a "break-in" period for auto trans. But this is a DCT which differs in a few aspects, but ill take it easy on her for the first 500 miles.

New tranny in my 81k 16' VT all shiny !

So my next question is does anyone know if they replace the transmission fluid or use my old fluid?

I've had this red line 75w85 for my transmission but have not put in yet because of all my tranny isues.

Just swap it out for the redline. Changing the fluid is stupid easy. HMU and I will give you the run down on how to do it fast than changing oil. The online instructions are all dumb AF and there is an easier way as I did mine a month or so ago

They itemized two "units" of fluid right on your invoice. Not proof, for sure, but an indication it's supposed to be fresh.

I'm all for changing to Redline fluid and all -- but you've got a lot on your plate. Third transmission -- hopefully the last you need. They were ready to hang you out to dry over engine mounts. Do you think they wouldn't jump all over an excuse that actually makes some sense?

this is a very valid point... At this point, you almost walk on egg shells until the warranty is up.
